Lisa R. O'Connell
Director, University Events & Protocol
Lisa joined 江南体育 in July of 2012 and currently serves as director for the office of University Events & Protocol. In her role, she leads the planning of major university events and special programs. Lisa represents the University Events and Protocol office as a member of many university committees. She earned a Certificate in hospitality and tourism management from Florida Atlantic University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo, and a Master of Science degree in hospitality and tourism management from 江南体育 State. Lisa is the current President of the Akron Children's Hospital Emerging Leaders Board, the previous Assistant Regional Director for the U.S. Northcentral Region of the North American Association of Commencement Officers, and is a graduate of the Leadership Akron Community Leadership Institute, 江南体育's Institute for Excellence leadership training program and the Protocol School of Washington.
Sarah E. McCarty
Special Events Manager
Sarah joined 江南体育 in May of 2022 and currently serves as a special events manager. In her role, she assists with the management and coordination of special events organized by the Office of University Events and Protocol. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Education in higher education administration and student affairs from 江南体育. Additionally, she is the current Assistant Regional Director for the U.S. Northcen
