Lamar R. Hylton Named ½ÄÏÌåÓý State’s Vice President for Student Affairs, Amoaba Gooden Appointed Interim Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
½ÄÏÌåÓý President Todd Diacon announced Thursday that Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D., has been selected to serve as vice president for student affairs, effective May 1, 2020. In addition, Diacon has appointed Amoaba Gooden, Ph.D., as the interim vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion, effective June 1, 2020.

This year’s keynote speaker was Melissa Harris-Perry, Ph.D., the Maya Angelou Presidential Chair at Wake Forest University, television host, author and political commentator.

Steve Harvey, producer, actor, author and former ½ÄÏÌåÓý student, is paying it forward by awarding eight of ½ÄÏÌåÓý State’s incoming freshmen with scholarships that will cover the total cost of attendance for each student.
